Olivia Rodrigo, Grammy-winning pop star, surprised her fans by showcasing her Filipino roots in her latest video interview at Vogue Kitchen.
Olivia joined the 'Now Serving' video series of Vogue magazine and during her guesting, she proudly introduced and presented chicken lumpia and shared its recipe.
The Filipino-American singer said, “Lumpia, to someone who's never had lumpia before, they're really delicious and savory, and kind of greasy in the best way.”
Olivia also recalled the first time she tasted lumpia.
“I don't know, it's just like feel-good food. My grandma used to make them for Thanksgiving every year, and so that was probably my first introduction to lumpia,” she shared.
The 22-year-old artist paired the chicken lumpia with a Paloma cocktail with a splash of calamansi.
While cooking, the music artist mentioned her upcoming album, which she described as “very varied.”
Olivia released her second album, "GUTS", on September 8, 2023, originally featuring 12 tracks. She later expanded the project with "GUTS (Spilled)" in 2024, bringing the total to 17 tracks.
