Are you currently single? If so, have you ever wondered what if you already crossed paths with your soulmate and you just don't know it yet?

Such was the case for a young couple from Negros Occidental named Keith Anne Turtogo and Mekhael Tello, whose throwback photo recently went viral on TikTok.

In the photo taken back in 2017 after a basketball game, Keith Anne can be seen standing next to her friend, Reign Dela Cruz.

While on the other side, the unsuspecting Mehkael sits on the bench, unaware that he was part of the photo, and much less, standing next to him was his future boyfriend.

In an interview with On Record, Keith Anne said she first saw Mekhael back in 2015, also at a basketball game, but sparks didn't fly since Mekhael had a girlfriend at the time.

“So, single po ako nung time na 'yun, pero siya may girlfriend po siya. Kaya cancel po,” she recounted.

(“I was single at the time, but he had a girlfriend. So, it was cancelled.”)

But things changed in 2017 when they both stepped into Grade 7 and became classmates. She said it was during that time that they became close friends.

However, they had a fight when they were in Grade 9 and didn't talk to each other for a year.

Keith Anne and Mekhael then reconciled as friends when they stepped into Grade 10.

“Nag-away po kasi kami kaya 'di na po kami nagpansinan,” she revealed. Nag-sorry ako sa kanya. Nag-sorry din siya sa 'kin. Kaya naging mas close po kami.”

(“We had a fight and didn't talk to each other,” she revealed. “I said sorry, He said sorry, That's how we became closer.”)

Keith Anne also said that it was during this point that they started falling for each other.

“Naging boy bestfriend ko siya, kaya doon po mas (lumalim) 'yung feelings namin sa isa't isa,” she said.

(“He became my boy best friend and that's how our feelings for each other got deeper,” she said.)

In December 2019, Mekhael started courting Keith Anne. And after four months, on April 1, 2020, the two became a couple.

“Ang isa pong nagustuhan ko sa kanya ay 'yung kanyang mata at 'yung hindi pagpapabaya sa pamilya,” Mekhael revealed. “At 'yung isa pa, 'yung panonood ng laro namin.”

(“One thing that I like about her is her eyes and how she always looks after her family,” Mekhael revealed. “And another one is that she watches our games.”)

The now-viral photo was found by Keith Anne's mom back in August. It was also Keith Anne's mom who snapped it back in 2017, and she was surprised upon realizing Mekhael was in the picture too. So, she sent it to her daughter.

When asked by On Record if Keith Anne believes in destiny? She replied, “Feeling ko siya na talaga 'yung the one eh.”

(She replied, “I feel like he's really the one.”)
