The topic was very timely as the country is experiencing a huge flood control scandal caused by widespread corruption.

Oyo drew from his own personal experience and recalled his past struggles.

I was corrupted--nagsisinungaling ako, nambababae, nagda-drugs, umiinom, nagsisigarilyo, kung ano ano. Pero when I met Jesus, noong nagkaron ako relasyon sa kaniya, doon naayos 'yung buhay ko. Paano? Repentance," he said.

He compared repentance to treating the root of the problem, instead of just addressing the symptoms.

"When you repent, alam mo na mali 'yung ginawa mo. Corrupted ka, mag-repent ka. True repentance brings change, para sa akin. Kasi if you're just going to say 'sorry,' uulitin mo lang 'yan eh," he explained.

When Dina asked him what prompted him to change and repent, Oyo looked back at the time that he was struggling financially due to his many vices.

His faith played a big role in realizing his mistakes and repenting.

'Tapos wala akong trabaho and that was only for two years. Wala akong trbaho noon. Sabi ko, 'Lord, ayoko na. Surrender na 'ko.' Doon nagkaroon ng change," he recalled.
