Rising P-pop girl group YARA reimagined Sexbomb Girls' signature hit "Bakit Papa?" with a contemporary R&B makeover.
On September 22, YARA released their modern version of "Bakit Papa?" along with an official lyric visualizer. The R&B bop is their second single under Sony Music Entertainment following their debut single "ADDA," which was released on March 10.
YARA's "Bakit Papa?" is co-produced by hitmaker Thyro Alfaro, who worked with John Paul Soliva on the arrangement and Niño of Popinoy on the production side.
According to the four-member girl group, their version of "Bakit Papa" is more R&B-leaning. "It has a sensual feel, matched with sultry choreography."
The group also shared that they worked closely with Sony Music Entertainment to bring their vision into reality.
"From styling to choreography, from coming up with promotional strategies to executing the material, we collaborated with our label to ensure that we get the best results possible," YARA said.
YARA's "Bakit Papa?" is now available on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.
Composed of Gelou, Rocher, Christa, and Kim, YARA is the newest P-pop act under Sony Music Entertainment, which includes SB19 and 4th Impact.
