Congratulations, Kapuso!

GMA resident meteorologist Nathaniel 'Mang Tani' Cruz was conferred with Wind Vane Award by Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administraion (PAGASA) during the 154th National/59th World Meteorological Day yesterday, March 22.

Mang Tani was one of the awardees for this year's Wind Vane Awards, which is an annual celebration that recognizes "individuals and institutional partners who have supported the Agency that contributed to the realization of its mandate, thereby gaining public trust and recognition."

Before joining GMA News and Public Affairs, Mang Tani worked for almost 30 years at PAGASA as the official spokesperson of the weather bureau.

He worked for two years in Darwin, Australia as a meteorologist before coming back to the Philippines in 2012.
