Multi-awarded actor and host Dingdong Dantes works with the best of the best in the newest GMA Prime series The Master Cutter, airing this May on GMA-7.

The Asian Star Prize awardee in the 2020 Seoul International Drama Awards is acting alongside two versatile actors in this action-packed series, namely, Paolo Contis and Polo Ravales.

In a quick chat with the award-winning Bubble Gang comedian, Paolo told 24 Oras that he immediately grabbed the opportunity to work with Dong, when the series was offered.

Paolo said on “Chika Minute,” "Finally. Matagal kaming nagpahinga sa primetime. I was doing movies for the past year, a year and a half, so ngayon nagkaroon ng pagkakataon makatrabaho si Mr. Dantes, so of course, you grab the chance."

In The Master Cutter, Paolo will be playing the kontrabida of Dantes, something that he really missed doing. “Na-miss ko 'yung pagiging kontrabida actually. For longest time, ako ang nagbi-villain kay Dingdong sa Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang, Alyas Robin Hood."

"Actually nagti-training kami ni Dingdong. Sabi namin, 'ang tanda na natin, bakit ba natin ginagawa ito?'" Paolo said. "I'm very confident na maaksidente man ako sa kaniya, maaksidente man niya 'ko, walang initan ng ulo."

For Polo Ravales, being part of this GMA Prime series is a special moment because their lead star is a “dear friend” of his.

"You know, sobrang sarap ng feeling kasi 'yung bida ng Master Cutter, Dingdong Dantes is a friend, 'di ba? Kumbaga kasama ko siya, like nung nagsimula kami, siya talaga iyong nakasama ko," Polo said.
