Paolo Valenciano to Rico Blanco: "We're simply not meant to work together again."
TV and concert director Paolo Valenciano has spoken up about the recent JBL Sound Fest held on Saturday, December 6, at the Parklinks Open Grounds in Pasig City.
He addressed the delay and acknowledged his team, who put extra work into the said concert.
“Tonight, I lost complete control of our event, which caused a major delay and added two extra hours of work to an already exhausted team,” Direk Paolo wrote on early Sunday morning.
Paolo also acknowledged JBL and OPM band Cup of Joe, who were one of the performers at the event.
“I sincerely apologize to our client JBL and to my brothers from Cup of Joe [who had to be picked up by motorcycles in traffic jams just to make their new call time]. This was my first year with JBL Sound Fest, so I found this incredibly frustrating.”
On one of his Instagram stories, Paolo also clarified, "Hindi late 'yung Cup of Joe.”
Towards the end of his post, Paolo reflected, “We learn new things every day, and I know I still have a lot to improve!! To everyone who was there, super sorry.”
He later addressed OPM singer and JBL Sound Fest performer Rico Blanco.
Paolo wrote, “And to Rico, my hero, while I sincerely wish you the best, I've learned that we're simply not meant to work together again.”
To provide more background, GMANetwork.com contacted Direk Paolo through a private Facebook message. However, he has not yet replied as of this writing.
On the other hand, Rico has not released any statement about Paolo Valenciano's post.
