Last week, the K-pop community was in shock after one of its finest singers, Park Bo-ram, passed away.
According to several reports from Korean media, Bo-ram died on the evening of April 11 at age 30.
Several days later, Bo-ram's agency XANADU Entertainment released a statement today (April 15) about her autopsy report.
Korean entertainment site Soompi published an English translation of the statement, wherein the autopsy findings showed that there were no signs of homicide or suicide.
Part of the statement reads, “An autopsy was performed this morning (April 15) to confirm the cause of death of the late artist Park Bo Ram. The autopsy showed no signs of homicide or suicide, and the exact results will be delivered to the bereaved family at a later date.”
The agency also asked the public to stop spreading false rumors about her death.
They stressed, “We sincerely pray for the soul of the deceased who unfortunately passed away, and we request that you refrain from circulating rumors and speculative reports so that the bereaved family can properly send off the deceased on her last journey.
“We would appreciate it if you could pray for the late Park Bo Ram, who never let go of her passion for music and nurtured her dream, so that she can rest comfortably in a warm place.”
Park Bo-ram competed in SuperStar K2 in 2010 and is the voice behind the song from the series Reply 1988 titled "Hyehwa-dong.”
