After five years, Park Hyung-sik is coming back to the Philippines for his upcoming "SIKcret Time" fan meeting in Manila on February 17 at the Araneta Coliseum.

In an online press conference on Tuesday (January 9), the Hallyu star recalled his fondest memories of the Philippines when he last visited in 2019 for a fan meet at the Mall of Asia Arena.

According to Hyung-sik, he remembered how all the fans were so "passionate."

"So my memories of the Philippines is that all the fans were very passionate," he said. "I was very happy to see them and interact with them.

"Also, the food was really nice. The weather was perfect, as well. It actually gave me a feeling that I would like to not go back to Korea. So, I have those good memories in the Philippines."

This time, if given an opportunity, he would like to try different activities, especially scuba diving.

"As you know, I really love scuba diving. I heard that the Philippines is actually the best spot for scuba diving. So, if there's an opportunity given to me, I would like to visit there as well," he shared.

Park Hyung-sik also chose the Philippines as the country he would like to spend a long vacation.

"Of course, If you think of countries, I have a lot of countries coming up in mind, but the Philippines since there are many good islands that I could visit. I could also try fishing, scuba diving, and, also, many other stuff that I can try out there. So, if there's a given opportunity, I would like to take a long holiday in the Philippines."

Park Hyung-sik's fan meet in Manila is part of his "SIKcret Time" Asia Tour which started in Hong Kong in September 2023 followed by his shows in South Korea, Japan, and Indonesia.

He is set to star in the upcoming rom-com series Doctor Slump alongside Korean actress Park Shin-hye. The drama is slated to premiere on January 27.
