"Walang iwanan sa Parokya band," Parokya Ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda says after a reunion gig.
Parokya ni Edgar had a gig recently with all six members present and the event calls for a celebratory reunion.
"May gig kami kanina sa Tispy Pig Timog, tapos kumpleto kami," the band's vocalist said.
"Sobrang sarap ng tugtugan namin kanina and sobrang special para sa amin na kumpleto kami, after everything that we've been through."
"It just felt so natural," Chito reflected.
"Buwi arrived from the US kaninang 6am (sa US na kasi sya naka-base, pun intended), tapos si Dindin, 1st time nya tumugtog after his major operation more than 6 weeks ago. Si Vinch naman, tutugtog lang kung trip nya and syempre, si Gab na nagka-cancer a year ago."
He continued, "Pero, after everything, and at the end of the day, solid pa rin kami.
"And tulad ng paulit-ulit kong sinasabi mula pa dati: "walang iwanan sa Parokya band...."
The band kicked off their world tour in October 2023, including stops in the U.S. and Canada.
A musical inspired by the band, Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical, is premiering on April 26, 2024.
