The members of the OPM band Parokya ni Edgar, led by their vocalist Chito Miranda, are extending their stay in Sorsogon after getting stranded due to the inclement weather brought upon by Tropical Storm Kristine.
Based on reports, the band performed in Sorsogon during the Kasanggayahan Festival last October 21.
According to their Facebook post, the group was unable to leave the province because the flights were canceled, and traveling by road is dangerous at the moment.
“Stranded kami sa Sorsogon. Di kami maka-uwi. Canceled lahat ng flights. Delikado din daw mag-roadtrip.
“So, naligo nalang kami sa ulan. Stay safe, everyone!!!
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) stated in their weather bulletin around 11 am today, October 23, that the center of Kristine was located at 200 km East of Casiguran, Aurora or 255 km East of Baler, Aurora.
The tropical storm has maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h.
