Recently, Patrick Garcia was in the headlines for his certain aggression towards the crew of Startalk. The show was about to interview the young actor, but instead of being accommodating, he supposedly shut the door of his car leaving the crew in awe over his allegedly bad behavior. He clarified in a radio interview that he barely knew what was happening around him. He just woke up and didn't even notice the crew was there. "Siguro misunderstanding lang. Hindi ko naman alam na may TV crew dun," Patrick said in an interview with Bulgar. "Hindi sinabi ng maid ko. Siguro pinalaki lang nila. Kung alam ko lang na nandoon nila, ano ba naman yung mag-painterview ako? Hindi naman mahirap yun?" He also stresses his gratefulness to girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado for defending him, "Thank you. Basta hindi ko siya minahal o niligawan para maging love team kami. Minahal ko siya kun sino man siya. Hindi ko siya niligawan para sa trabaho lang." With this in mind, Patrick is very confident with his relationship with Jennylyn to the extent that he is fine about Mark Herras replacing him in Tiyanak and will star opposite Jen.
