Paul Salas on his 'Stars on the Floor' 2026 journey: “Dito ko na-work on 'yung sarili ko.”

Paul Salas has discovered something beyond dancing during his journey on Stars on the Floor 2026.

In an exclusive interview with GMA Network.com, the actor-dancer shared his reflections after joining the lineup of celebrity dance stars in the competition.

Paul revealed that experiencing hardships helped him bring out the best in himself and discover his true dancing abilities.

Realizing this during the show, he said he even spoke with his father, who is also a dancer, about his perspective before entering the competition.

“And I think, sabi ko nga, nag-sorry nga ako, sa aking tatay. Parang ganyan na lagi 'yung saying ko, parang okay na 'yan, nasa dugo na 'yung pagsasayaw,” he shared.

“Ganon 'yung iniisip ko. Pero sabi ko dad, nakita ko 'yung hirap na 'yun. Nakita ko 'yung proseso ngayon [sa] pagsasayaw,” he added.

As a sign of respect for his father, Paul said he chose to embrace the valuable lessons he learned along the way.

“I respect you, and tatanggalin ko na 'yung yabang, pride, and ego ko na 'yan. Isa 'yung pasasalamat sa 'Stars on the Floor 2026,'” he said.

He added, “Dito ko na-work on 'yung sarili ko, sa pagsasayaw.”

Joining Paul in the celebrity dance stars lineup are Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Rocco Nacino, Sugar Mercado, and Chanty Videla.
