After two months of stay in Boracay, Paula Peralejo is now envisioning to move to a smaller house.
The former actress shared her realization in a lengthy Instagram post,
She said, “Been here for almost [two] months, and I realized a lot of things.
“Back in Manila, we have a much bigger home than what we have here. And whenever I'd tell people I know na I want a smaller house, parang they don't believe me kasi I have a lot of things back home (to which I say it's because we have space, and because our home is the melting pot for family [and] friends' gatherings).”

In her post, Paula expressed her reasons why living in a tiny house is something that she desires for her family.
“A tiny home suits us well. I don't spend a lot of time cleaning, I don't think a lot about how to make the home 'prettier' cause I'm thinking 'more stuff to clean'😅, and I guess my fave is since we have a tiny kitchen, our pantry is just right - we buy what we need, and we use everything. Walang sayang.”
She added that living in a smaller space in Boracay has taught her to purchase what they only need and to manage their kitchen properly.
“Back home, our pantry is always full for some reason, but we always go out to buy more stuff. Here, with the market being a walk away, we buy what we need. 🙏🏻💕I somehow manage to make the meals we need with just a pot and a pan (although I cannot bake here). And because our space is so limited in the kitchen, I clean right away - which means our kitchen is also always clean.”
Paula admitted that she had a different goal in mind last 2020.
“Last year, my theme was to make my house something I truly love - kasi lockdown at andun kami lagi. Another theme was to buy products to help me manage my time even if mawalan man ng tutulong sa house.
"But now, I realize na if you have a tiny home and live a less busy lifestyle, those aren't necessary. Last year, I was so into home groups on FB. Now, hindi na ako interested kasi wala naman akong aayusin.”
As a mom and wife, she said that she's looking forward to having a smaller and organized home.
“Would I like a bigger space than this? Maybe just a bit more. I'd also put some organization just to keep things more tidy, plus use products that are purposeful for tiny home living (like thin plates, collapsible kitchen stuff, etc).
"But definitely, if you live in a place where everything is walkable or easy to commute to, and have amazing nature as your backyard, tiny home living is very possible while living life doing the things that soothe your soul (as seen in this pic).”
