Arturo Luz passed away at the age of 94 in May 2021 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Talented painter Paulina Sotto-Llanes commemorated the memories left behind by her late Lolo Arturo Luz.
Arturo, the National Artist for Visual Arts, would have been 97 this year. He passed away on May 26, 2021, during the height of the pandemic.

The daughter of Open 24/7 star Vic Sotto and Angela Luz took to Instagram Story to share that she visited her grandfather's grave yesterday to mark his birthday.

In a heartwarming tribute to her lolo two years ago, Paulina revealed on Instagram then that the late National Artist was an incredible person, who always supported her.
“He was always there for me. Every event, every milestone, every recital and graduation, he was there (usually with a snack). He never failed to make me feel his love and support, even in the smallest of ways. I only hope that he, in turn, knew how much he meant to me, how much he inspired me, and how much I loved him.
She continued, “My Lolo spent 94 fruitful years on this earth, and last night on May 26 he passed peacefully with my mom by his side. We couldn't ask for more.”
Paulina exchanged “I Do's” with Jed Llanes in January 2017 and three years later they welcomed their daughter Sachi Brielle.
