Personalities and celebrities extend their condolences for the death of former senator and actor Ramon Revilla, Sr. The Revilla Patriarch passed away today, June 26, due to heart failure.

Revilla's death was confirmed by his son, actor-turned-politician Bong Revilla Jr. through an emotional video the latter posted on his Facebook page.

The unfortunate news was also dealt with sympathies by personalities who took their prayers and words of comfort for the bereaved family online.

Bong's colleagues including Senator Sonny Angara, Senator Joel Villanueva, Senator Win Gatchalian, and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada expressed their condolences via social media.

Veteran actress Elizabeth Oropesa, who had the chance to work with the older Revilla in showbiz, also reached out to the bereaved family.

She wrote, “My condolences to the Revilla family. Rest in peace, Sir Ramon Revilla, Sr.”

The older Revilla was hospitalized on May 31. He showed signs of improvement after almost two weeks of confinement before succumbing to heart failure at the age of 93.
