
After Los Angeles Lakers announced that at least two of their players tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), two teams from NBA also went public to confirm that some of the people in their organization have also contracted the disease.
ESPN senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted the statement of the Philadelphia 76ers, where about three individuals, which they did not identify, tested positive for coronavirus.
"Three individuals have received tested positive results fo COVID-19. All other test results are currently negative.
"We have reported this information to state and local health authorities as required.
"The health of our players, staff, fans and community is paramount, and we continue to be guided by the medical experts at this time."
In addition, the the 76ers also lauded the medical community for their tireless efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We extend our gratitude and appreciation to the public health health and medical communities for their tireless efforts during these challenging times."

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets issued a separate statement confirming that one individual from their organization also tested positive.
