Ivan Ignacio is just the latest Philippine male pageant delegate to perform well at an international pageant.
It's not just our female delegates that are performing well in international pageants, but the country's male delegates are placing high in international pageants as well.
The Mister Pilipinas Worldwide pageant's official Instagram account congratulated Ivan Ignacio, the country's representative to the Mister Cosmopolitan pageant, for placing second runner up in the competition. In the caption, they called Ivan's performance “truly commendable”.
Ivan is just the latest Philippine representative to a male beauty pageant that has performed well in the competition. Johannes Rissler, the country's representative to the Mister Supranational pageant, ended up in the Top 15 and is now looking to pursue a music career.
Johannes is planning to release songs not just in Tagalog, but Bisaya and English as well as a way to cater to an audience outside of the country.
“I'm going to release my own songs soon. Merong Tagalog song, merong Bisaya song, merong ding English song. Isa rin kasing nangyari after nung performance ko, maraming lumapit asking anong title nung song, saying they liked the song. In a way, nakakuha ako ng listeners outside of the Philippines. I need to release a song na maiintindihan nila,” he explained.
The Mister Pilipinas Worldwide pageant to be held on October 24 will be looking for successors to Ivan and Johannes. The Mister Pilipinas Worldwide organizers recently released photos of the men competing in the pageant.
The Mister Pilipinas Worldwide coronation night will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, with model Andre Brouillette hosting.
The coronation night of The Miss Philippines pageant will also be held at the same venue and time, with beauty queens Rabiya Mateo, Beatrice Luigi Gomez, and Annabelle McDonnell hosting. Miss Supranational 2023 Andrea Aguilera will be a special guest at The Miss Philippines pageant.
Both pageants are part of The Filipino Festival, “a celebration of everything Filipino from food, arts and crafts, music, fashion, film, and even pageants.”
