
As of the evening of April 13, the Philippines is now at the top of the list of ASEAN countries with the most number of recorded COVID-19 cases.
The sad development was reported by the ASEAN Post via Twitter.
The Philippines overtook its neighbor, Malaysia after reporting a total of 4,932 COVID-19 cases on Monday night, at 7:30 P.M.

The same data was also confirmed by the science-based organization, Earth Shaker PH.

Meanwhile, according to the Department of Health's latest bulletin, the country has now surpassed the 5,000 mark with a total of 5,223 confirmed cases as of April 14, 4 P.M.

As of 4PM today, April 14, 2020, the DOH reports 291 new cases (PH4933-PH5223) of COVID-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 5,223.

Live statistics site worldometer.info has also reported that the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide has reached more than 1.9 million.
As the number of recorded COVID-19 cases continue to increase, the Philippines has just begun mass testing in select cities.
