Pia Wurtzbach took inpiration from fellow crowned beauty queens for the gowns she wore during the Miss Universe PH coronation night.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is indeed a beauty queen with a purpose.

In the recently concluded Miss Universe Philippines coronation night, Pia did not only impressed guests and audience with her gowns, but she also purposely chose to wear each to pay tribute to her fellow Pinay beauty queens.

On her Instagram account, the stunning beauty queen posted the gowns she wore and explained that these were her homage to Filipina Miss Universe titleholders Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Catriona Gray, and of course, herself.

Called "Manila Girl on the Moon," the white gown by Mark Bumgarner was Pia's ode to Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz. She said, This look is a message for every woman to be unafraid to reach for the moon and say yes to her dreams & new adventures."

For Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran, Pia wore a flowy yellow dress by Jaggy Glarino "to showcase the woman in full bloom."

Shew stressed on her post, "In a hue that's brighter than the sun, we're reinventing what pageant swimsuit shots could look like with this offbeat one piece number that unapologetically highlights a woman's curves."

On her third post, Pia looked back on her "crowning glory" and the iconic blue gown she wore on the coronation night of Miss Universe 2015.

Wearing the blue cut-out gown by Louis Pangilinan, the Pinay beauty queen said, "We're taking wearing the crown to the next level -- not just on top of our heads, but as an embodiment of how every woman should be celebrated whatever size, shape or age she is."

Lastly, Pia took inspiration from Catriona's winning color in Miss Universe 2018.

Pia showed a "Girl on Fire" attitude while wearing the red piece by Gladi Echavarre and Atsuko Kudo. She said, "[W]e want every woman to feel like she is a phoenix rising who's fierce, feminine, and fabulous in everything that she does."
