Opal Suchata Chuangsri placed 3rd runner-up in the Miss Universe 2024 coronation night.
Another Filipino talent shined through in the Miss Universe 2024 coronation night held in Mexico and this is none other than Pinoy creative genius Rian Fernandez.
Based on the official Instagram account of Miss Universe Thailand, Rian was the one who designed Opal Suchata Chuangsri's beautiful evening gown. She took the third runner-up spot.
In Rian's Instagram post, he talked about the meaning of the exquisite gown he made for Opal.
“Opal Suchata's gown for the Miss Universe 2024 stage is a stunning tribute to Thep Kinnaree, skillfully designed by Rian Fernandez with the opulence of gold and the purity of white. Crafted from luxurious micro sequin embroidery in shimmering gold and white, creating a celestial effect reminiscent of starlight on water. The off-shoulder neckline frames her face beautifully highlighted that echo Thailand's rich culture. The pattern of the skirt is a harmonious blend of soft cream and gleaming gold, glides gracefully with every step, evoking the fluid elegance of a swan. As she glides across the stage, the gown embodies a regal essence that captures the enchanting spirit of the Kinnaree, leaving an indelible mark of elegance and grace.”
Rian was also the designer of Opal's winning dress in the Miss Universe Thailand pageant last July.
This year, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark was chosen as Miss Universe 2024.
The first runner-up was Miss Nigeria, while Miss Mexico bagged the second runner-up spot. Meanwhile, Miss Venezuela took home the fourth runner-up title.
Filipina beauty queen Chelsea Manalo finished strong by making it into the Top 30.
