Pita Revilla dies

Months after Miko Palanca's death, his mom Pita Revilla dies.

Pita Revilla, mother of brothers Bernard and the late Mico Palanca, passed away at the age of 62 in San Francisco, California yesterday, March 19.

The news was confirmed by Ditas Santos, cousin of Pita, through a Facebook post.

She wrote, “Father God, I know Pita is now with You in Heaven. She is welcomed with hugs by Jesus as shown in this picture.

"You have welcomed her into Your Paradise where there is no more sickness, pain, sorrow, and weeping, for in Your presence is the fullness of joy!

“It saddens us here on earth that we will not see her again and enjoy precious moments with her anymore but we lift up our sorrow and grief to you knowing she is in a much better place, she is with You now.

“Despite all the trials that she encountered in her life, she has always managed to pull through with a smile.

"She always had the inner strength to endure everything that came her way.

"In this life, You embraced her with Your tender love by surrounding her with people who loved her unconditionally.”

In the comments section, she shared that Pita only found that she had cancer recently and that it was already too late to be treated.

Tirso Cruz III's wife, Lynn Cruz, paid tribute and shared her condolences to the family by sharing a series of photographs of the late Pita.

She said, “Until now I am shocked by Pita's sudden demise. No more pain, no more worries, no more tears for you my friend.”

In the said post, Lynn recalled a memory with Pita where they each shared their grief over losing a son.

“[On] December 8, 2019, her son Miko (Palanca) died.

“Pita went home from the US, and when we saw each other in the wake of Miko.

"While holding hands, she told me, 'Now I know how it feels Lynn [to lose a son.] It is so painful.'

“I told her, 'Jesus is the key. Just call on him, put him in your heart, because my strength and comfort comes from Him.' She nodded, and said 'Yes Lynn.'”

To the family of our dear friend Pita Revilla Hocson, my heartfelt condolences. Until now I am shocked of Pita's sudden demise. No more pain, no more worries, no more tears for you my friend. I remember her telling me last year over the phone, “I can't imagine how you are feeling Lynn after having lost a dear son. I don't want to be in your place. That must be so painful.” I told her, “Pita, it is because of the Lord that is why I am handling this well. Without Him, I just cannot.” That was July of last year while I was in the US. Five months after, December 8, 2019, her son Mico (Palanca) died. Pita when home from the US, and when we saw each other at the wake of Mico, while holding hands, she told me, “Now I know how it feels Lynn. It is so painful.” I told her, “Jesus is the key. Just call on him, put him in your heart, because my strength and comfort comes from Him.” She nodded, and said “Yes Lynn.” Last night, I received the news that our dear friend Pita passed away in the US due to cancer. Life is so short. We really don't know when the Lord calls for us. When don't know when our time is, only God knows. Let us love one another, take care of each other, pray, and most of all, put Jesus first in our lives! God bless us all. John 10:28-30 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one. 3-20-2020
