Big game changes

The first huge modification you'll notice is that Plants vs. Zombies 3 is now in 3D graphics. It traded the cartoonish 2D aesthetic that it had in PVZ 1 and PVZ 2 for a more vibrant look in PVZ 3.

Another big difference of PVZ 3 from other PVZ versions is that it is in portrait mode. But since it's still in its soft launch phase, nothing is set in stone and some changes or adjustments should be anticipated once PVZ 3 is officially released worldwide.

The most stunning change they've made in PVZ 3 is that there's no need to plant sunflowers anymore. There's already a sunflower on preset at the bottom part of the screen, which takes care of the sun production. So, you won't have to worry about allotting space for sunflowers.

Whether this significant change in its game play is final or not, we will soon find out after its official release.

What's New?

One of the important new features of Plants vs. Zombies 3 is that it will let you connect and play with friends online with its Arena Mode and Tournaments where you can earn gems and seeds. There will also be Clubs you can join in that lets you chat with other players, donate seeds, and acquire Club plants.

Another new offering in PVZ3 is that you can now monitor the health of both the zombies and your plants. This will definitely be highly beneficial in crafting your game strategy.

There are two structures you'll see in the map: the Star Tree and the Devour Tower. The Star Tree gives you rewards for all the stars you collect from battle, while the Devour Tower lets you rescue new plants after beating enough tower floors or challenges.

There's also a Taco Time feature, where you'll give a taco to a plant and it'll activate the plant's unique Tacobility. Its effect lasts the whole battle.

The Brainiacs and the Plant Squad also have new members. The first new member you'll encounter is a female zombie. She'll appear as soon as you play your first Plants vs. Zombies 3 battle. There's also a new zombie called the Pigeon Feeder who throws crumbs that summon flocks of zombie pigeons.

As for the Plant Squad, The Bonk Choy and Bamboo Shoots are some of its new recruits. You'll be introduced to them early in the game.

And finally, one surprising new thing about Plants vs. Zombies 3 is that they finally revealed Crazy Dave's full name. But don't worry we won't spoil it here.

Bet these new features and changes got you all excited to play Plants vs. Zombies 3. So, if you're ready to defend your lawn and your town from Dr. Zomboss and the Brainiacs, head out to Google Play and download the PVZ 3 app. Enjoy and don't let the zombies eat your brain!
