Midnight Meetings band is Playlist's featured artist of the week. In an interview with GMANetwork.com, the band discussed their plans and hopes for the Filipino music industry.

Midnight Meetings graced the Playlist stage with their newest song Sa Aking Pagpikit and their rendition of Maybe This Time-inspired song This Time I’m Not Holding Back.

They considered the session special because it was the first time in a while that they performed acoustically, and it was an honor for them to perform for Kapuso audiences.

The band describes their unique genre as ‘alternative soul with an attitude’ and their lyrics as ‘hindi lang puro poot at galit’.

As artists and musicians, they draw inspiration from personal experiences as well as the stories of their friends and other people around them. Sometimes, they also draw insight and creativity from the most random channels.

“Mahilig ako manood ng movies kaya naiinspire ako,” their bassist Guada Tagalog said.

As for their future plans, they hope to be making music and sharing it with others for a very long time.

“Mag-perform sa big audience talaga, mga music festivals,” vocalist Ashley Gosiengfiao noted.

“Sana mas malayo pa 'yung reach ng music namin sa future. 'Yun 'yung goal talaga,” Guada added.

“Itaguyod ang OPM!” keyboardist and back vocalist Len Calvo concluded.
