Centerstage judge Pops Fernandez highlighted the role of celebrities in people's lives especially in this time of COVID-19 crisis.
Aside from their donation campaigns and efforts to help the government distribute relief goods, actors, singers, dancers, comedians and celebrities alike keep the public entertained, letting them breathe from the stress and dangers coronavirus may bring.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the Concert Queen shared that it is their job to bring joy to the people.
“Trabaho rin namin is magpaligaya, magpasaya ng tao.
"Minsan ng, di ba, malungkot kami pero hindi nila dapat makita at malaman kung ano 'yung pinagdadaanan namin.
"Kasi, trabaho namin talaga ang magbigay-ligaya at entertainment sa audience namin,” she said.
In this crucial time, Pops said that this is when celebrities should step up.
“This is where we step up. I think if I'm not mistaken, ang daming nagpe-Facebook live.
"I'm one of them, just to reach out, siyempre, du'n sa mga sumusubaybay sa kanila to bring a smile on their faces, whether they are at home or in their work,” she added.
She likewise noted that they are trying their best to bring hope to the public.
“May iba't ibang ways to reach out to people, to bring a little bit of joy in their homes.
"Kung hindi naman a lot of joy, we try to make do with whatever we can, with whatever we have,” she noted.

Furthermore, the Concert Queen said that if given the chance, she would love to participate in a concert catered to give thanks to the frontliners battling the COVID-19 disease.
“We are very grateful. We, I guess a lot of people, we constantly thank our frontliners. Siyempre, ibang-iba 'yung trabaho nila.
“I believe that everytime they report for work they do risk their lives, yet they do it, they take care of us, they help us reach out to other people,”she said.
Pops then extended her heartfelt thanks to other frontliners from various sectors of the society.
“This are not just doctors, nurses and other people working in the hospitals.
"These are mga drivers na nagde-deliver ng food, 'yung mga garbage men who take out our garbage, people working in the groceries, supermarkets and palengke.
“We are very, very grateful and if there is such a project like that, I would love to be part of it just to express 'yung pasasalamat talaga,” she added.
