The president said Revillame's slot is "open until the last minute."
No less than President Rodrigo Duterte is urging Wowowin host Willie Revillame to run for a senate seat in next year's national elections.
In a video message, Duterte expressed his wish for Willie to consider politics in his present plans.
“Willie, si mayor 'to. Kumusta ka? Matagal na tayong 'di nagkita pero palagi kitang naaalala dahil gusto ko sanang maging senador ka,” Duterte said.
Willie, according to Duterte, and as relayed to him by his top aide Senator Bong Go, was having second thoughts on the idea of entering politics.
“Pero ganun pa man open ang slot until the last minute. Kung ayaw mo na talaga eh 'di pwede na tayo mag-usap ulit,” Duterte told the Wowowin host.
He added, “Bilib ako sa appeal mo sa masa.”
