Prima Donnas director Gina Alajar sang nothing but praises for her actors in the hit afternoon drama series.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the veteran actress and director tells how Prima Donnas lead stars Jillian Ward, Althea Ablan, Sofia Pablo, and Elijah Alejo impressed her.

"I think what happened, dahil sa sobrang galing nila, napaniwala nila 'yung tao na totoong istorya 'to, na totoong buhay 'to," she said.

Direk Gina is referring to the bashing she received online as a director of Prima Donnas.

She added, "Kailangan pagdaanan ni Mayi na umiyak siya para maawa kayo. E, kaso napakagaling ni Jillian Ward umiyak, na kahit kami dito sa [set], 'pag umiiyak na siya, naluluha din kami."

"Sinasabi namin, 'Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.' Talagang maaawa ka, magpahikbi-hikbi pa."

Direk Gina also commended the acting of Althea, Sofia, and Elijah.

"Si Brianna, you know, dahil nakikinig ang bata, and she really wants to learn, lahat ng inputs ko sa kanya, sinusunod niya. And she studied," Gina told GMANetwork.com.

Brianna is the character played by Elijah in the series.

"Lahat tinatandaan niya and then the character of Brianna became whole."

She also praised veteran actress Chanda Romero for her portrayal of Lady Prima Claveria, the duchess of Donaria.
