Seasoned actress Aiko Melendez has already proven herself when it comes to playing kontrabida characters. In fact, she even received awards and nominations for her portrayals of antagonist roles.

What made Aiko think that her role in Prima Donnas as Kendra could be her last kontrabida character?

During the show's virtual media conference yesterday, November 6, Aiko revealed that she already told her manager, Arnold Vegafria, that she wanted to avoid having kontrabida roles as much as possible.

"For next year, isa sa plano ko is mag-iba naman ng role," she shared.

"Actually, sabi ko nga baka nga ang Prima Donnas might be my last na magkokontrabida ako kasi I want to try something different because medyo nakaka-drain din kapag kontrabida ka nang kontrabida.

"Your audience is gonna get tired also of watching you doing the same old thing, 'di ba?

"So if the right offer would come in, why not, 'di ba?

"Pero, kung ako talaga 'yung masusunod, sinabi ko na kay Kuya Arnold [Vegafria] talaga, my manager, na talagang ang Prima Donnas ko ang magiging last munang kontrabida."

After she revealed that her role as Kendra in Prima Donnas might be her last kontrabida, Aiko promised that she would give her best in the show.

She ended, "Kaya ibibigay ko na 'tong todong-todo na 'to."

The all-new episodes of Prima Donnas will air on Monday, November 9, on GMA Afternoon Prime after Ika-6 na Utos.
