It's no secret that many people look up to celebrities.
For some they serve as inspirations of who they want to become.
While some fans revere the stars like gods, because they view them as perfect human beings.
This of course is far from the truth.
Artistas are just as human as we all are.
But being in the limelight subjects them to more pressure of being beautiful, and also makes them more susceptible to bashing.
That's why most of them opt to have beauty enhancements.
But how far would celebrities go to beautify themselves?
We asked Kapuso celebs Prince Clemente and Jenzel Angeles during their contract signing for a clinic endorsement deal recently.
We also had the chance to talk to them about their perception of beauty.
What makes a person beautiful?
Jenzel: “Beauty is not just about what's on the outside, but also the inside.”
How do they maintain their natural beauty?
Jenzel: “Mahilig ako matulog 'tsaka uminom ng water. As for skin care routine, facial wash and toner, 'yon lang.
Prince: “Kapag maraming free time, I work out 3-4 times a week.
What do they think of cosmetic enhancements to achieve the perfect beauty?
Jenzel: “Wala namang perfect. Mahirap maging perfect. But you can do something to take care of your body, your face like, going to derma clinics, ganyan.
“Ako, magpapa-laser ako ng legs and I'm excited. So open din ako magpa-ulthera.”
“For now, yung naiisip ko talaga is yung laser treatment for pimple marks.”
What is their advice for people who have insecurities?
Jenzel: “If you see that you have a problem, pwede mo naman siya i-address.
'Wag kang maging conscious.
You have every right to do whatever you want to your face and body, especially if you feel that it will either boost your self-esteem or it'll be beneficial to your health.
Just make sure that you are doing it for yourself, out of your own volition; and not because you want to please others.
Keep in mind that true beauty transcends the physical.
Your outer beauty will fade, but your inner beauty will stay with you until you grow old and wrinkly.
And the most important thought to always remember is that nobody is and can be perfect. We can only be the best versions of ourselves.
