You're My Favorite Song star Princess Aliyah shared just how hands-on she is in preparing for her upcoming 18th birthday celebration. She will be marking this milestone this coming August 7.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with 24 Oras' Chika Minute, she admitted that while a debut celebration wasn't originally on her wishlist, all the preparation has left her genuinely excited.

She also shared that the celebration will serve as a special moment to be surrounded by those closest to her heart.

“Before sabi ko, ayaw ko talagang mag-debut kasi mas gusto ko na lang mag-travel, pero ngayon na sobrang lapit na niya and sobrang rush ng preparations, sobrang excited na rin ako at siyempre [excited na rin ako] makita 'yung mga taong malapit sa akin sa araw na 'yon,” Princess shared.

The young Kapuso actress added that she is personally busy preparing for her debut, being heavily involved in organizing the event's theme, distributing the invitations, and choosing the gown she will wear for her birthday.

She also expressed her gratitude to her Sparkle GMA Artist Center family, who served as her partners throughout these preparations.

“Kasi kung wala po talaga sila, hindi ko po talaga mabubuo 'yung debut ko po, 'yung dream debut ko po,” the young actress said.

According to Princess, this debut is a dream come true for both her mother and older sister, who never had the chance to hold a similar celebration. Knowing this makes the upcoming event deeply meaningful to her.

“Sabi nila: 'At least ikaw man lang maranasan mo 'yun and minsan lang ito mangyari sa buhay mo,'” Princess shared.

She further revealed that while her debut will be a simple affair, it will perfectly capture her personality and stay true to her name, “Princess.”

“Hindi naman po siya masyadong bongga, mas gusto ko po 'yung simple lang pero very elegant, very princess,” she said.

Princess also talked about her preparations for selecting the people included in her "18s" lists for her debut: “Hindi ko pa rin po napaplano kung exactly kung sino 'yung mga gusto ko ilagay sa '18s,' pero sinabihan ko na rin po sila na: 'Dito kayo,' so prepared na rin sila kahit papaano.”

In addition to her upcoming debut, the young Kapuso actress expressed immense gratitude for the overwhelming support behind her single, "Amba".

Recently, Princess opened up on Unang Hirit about her long-awaited break in the music industry. Expressing deep gratitude, the artist noted that after years of waiting, she finally has the platform to share her talent, calling this new chapter a significant blessing.

“I'm so excited po and so blessed din to be given this opportunity kasi actually ang tagal ko na rin po itong hiniling talaga,” Princess said.
