OPM Acoustic Princess and GMA Music artist Princess Velasco has been active in music industry since the release of her first album Addicted to Acoustic in 2009.
In an interview with Behind The Song Podcast, the singer revealed the greatest lessons she learned in the industry.
"The greatest lesson for me, in terms of recording and performing live, is to be professional all the time. I don't like to waste other people's time. Time for me is something that you cannot buy, that you cannot multiply," she shared.
Princess continued, "Whatever time is given to you, you have to make the most out of it. You have to show up, you have to be ready and you have to always be professional about it because it is work."
Princess also mentioned what inspires her to continue making music even in these trying times.
"I am fortunate enough o have been given this talent of music. Sa panahon kasi ng pandemya, 'yung music para sa akin has help a lot of people cope.
"I'm doing this because I love singing and I will continue to do this kahit na hindi na ako binabayaran para kumanta, I will continue to do this because it something that I love. And feeling ko kahit na isang tao mayroon akong mapapasaya 'pag tinuloy ko ito, okay na ako roon kahit sa isang tao na 'yon," Princess said.
Last November, Princess released her latest single "Ang Ating Pag-ibig" under GMA Music. Her husband Mark Herbert Rosario composed the song as a wedding gift for her in 2013.
