The grand winner of Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break, Krizza Neri, formally came out to the public via her Facebook post on October 21 (Thursday) that she's a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
One of Krizza's batchmates in the singing competition was Bubble Gang comedienne Denise Barbacena.
In her interview with entertainment portal PEP.Ph, Krizza shared the reason why she wanted to come out as a lesbian now.
She told PEP.Ph, “Yes, publicly, parang ngayon lang ako umamin. It was also my way to talk about my advocacy, like educating and getting more people involved na being gay doesn't make you any less human.”
Hindi mali ang pagiging ganito,” she added.
