Aside from making a name in the music industry, 'The Clash' alum Psalms David is also planning to get into acting.

The Clash alum Psalms David has released his new single titled “I Need To Know” under GMA Music last Thursday, April 15.

It was written and composed by Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, and according to Psalms, the track emphasizes the importance of communication in every relationship.

For those of you who don't know, Psalms was handpicked by Christian himself to perform his original composition.

Psalms says, “Sobrang grateful ako na ako 'yung pinili ni Sir Christian na kumanta nung song niya na “I Need To Know.”

“Actually what happened was, minessage niya po ako sa Viber and he sent me the song before asking me to sing it.

“Sabi niya, 'Okay ba, maganda ba 'yung kanta?' Parang pinapa-check niya po sa akin. Sabi ko, 'Sir Christian, maganda. Sino po ang kakanta nito? Kailan n'yo po ire-release?' Ganun, akala ko siya 'yung kakanta eh. Tapos sabi niya ako daw pala 'yung kakanta. So I'm really grateful na ako 'yung napili niya,” Psalms said in his interview with GMANetwork.com.

Having been in the industry for a while now, the newbie singer shared that he aspires to work with a few Kapuso female singers.

He first named singer-actress Rita Daniela as one of the stars he looks up to.

“I really want to collaborate with Ate Rita Daniela because I love her musicality,” he said in GMA Artist Center's online show In the Limelight.

He then said, “I also want to collaborate with Ate Julie Anne San Jose because I love her voice and I love working with her kasi naka-work ko na siya sa ibang shows before.

“I'm looking forward to collaborating with my fellow Clashers din. Tulungan kami mga fellow Clashers.”

Aside from his making a name in the music industry, Psalms is also eyeing a spot in the acting scene as he has been joining various acting workshops for three years now.

“I've undergone a lot of acting workshops before. Siguro three years na akong nag-a-acting workshop under Coach Ana Feleo and one thing na natutunan ko sa kanya is that every emotion is equal, every emotion demands to be felt, and needs to be felt,” he said.

Just like his idol Kapuso actor Ken Chan, who played Boyet, a man with mild intellectual disability in the family drama My Special Tatay (2018) and is about to star as Nelson/Tyler, a person with dissociative identity disorder (DID) in the upcoming series Ang Dalawang Ikaw, he is also dreaming of portraying a role with mental disability.

“My dream role is to represent people with mental disability just like how Kuya Ken Chan represents them through My Special Tatay and ito nga sa kanilang bagong teleserye ni Ate Rita, and I'm really excited to watch Ang Dalawang Ikaw.

“I'm really looking forward to doing roles like that and siguro female star na I would like to work with, in terms of acting, is Barbie Forteza, Ate Julie Anne, and si Kyline [Alcantara],” Psalms shared.
