Lapillus's first single 'HIT YA!' is a song about aspirations and confidence, something that the members have in spades.

Girl group Lapillus made their official debut with their debut song "HIT YA!"

Lapillus (Chanty, Shana, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, Haeun) released their digital single album HIT YA! on various music sites on June 20, began their full-fledged debut activities.

"HIT YA!" is a song that expresses the confidence and aspirations of six girls who take their first steps, and gives a glimpse of the powerful teen-crush (Teenager+Girl crush) charm.

In particular, "HIT YA!" heralded a great start by being ranked 20th on the real-time charts of major music sites right after its release.

Lapillus, who appeared with addictive hooks and powerful performances, introduced their album themselves.

Here's a Q&A session with Lapillus about their debut album, HIT YA!

Q. How do you feel about debuting?

Shana : I can't believe that the long-awaited debut moment has finally come. It's a series of nervous things, but I think I can do it well because I'm with the members.

Haeun : I'm worried and nervous, but I think my excitement is much greater. I'd like to say thank you to all the people who helped me get here and the fans who supported us. Please show a lot of love for our debut song, 'HIT YA!'

Q. If you introduce your debut song "HIT YA!" in one sentence?

Bessie: "HIT YA!" is a song with 'Teen-crush' of Lapillus. 'Teen-crush' is a combination of "teenager" and "girl crush" and contains a message that wants teenagers around the world to find their own dreams and colors.

Seowon: "HIT YA!" is an addictive song. After listening to the song for the first time, the members sung 'Hit ya!' all day long because the hook was so addictive. The choreography is unique and attractive enough for everyone to follow. Please look forward to "HIT YA!" performance!

Q. What would be the main point of "HIT YA!"?

Yue: While preparing for our debut song "HIT YA!," we really put a lot of effort into it. Among them, the performance was the most important. If you focus on the powerful group dance that contains Lapillus' teen-crush charm, you'll be able to enjoy 'HIT YA!' even more!

Chanty: Also, there's a lot of point choreography in "HIT YA!" There are many dances that you can follow, including "Bad-Girl Dance" where you make horns with your hands, "Hipster Dance" with hip moves, and "HIT YA! Dance" with the title of the song.

Q. How do you feel about being directed by Lee Seungcheol?

Bessie: It was a great honor and a valuable experience and we got a lot of advice. He gave us sincere advice not only on technical areas such as how to warm up your voice, but also on the mindset you should have as a singer. As much as we were taught by 'Legend' himself, we'll show you a great and complete performance.

Q. What's your goal or ambition for your debut album?

Yue: Now that we start my career under the name of Lapillus, we want to grow into a cool and talented group. We want to get the nickname 'Only-One' by showing our own colors and charms on the stage.

Seowon : We also want to be a group that is loved not only in Korea but also in the world. We also want to go to foreign members' hometowns and perform. We will become Lapillus, prepared to deliver the message of 'Find your own color' to the world.

Q. Is there another color of Lapillus that you want to show?

Haeun : We really like the teen-crush concept that shows the charisma of Lapillus, but we also want to try various things. If we have to choose one, we would like to show you a girlish concept like Girls' Generation. We thought it would show a new charm of Lapillus, which is completely different from this album.

Q. Please say something to your fans.

Shana: We are so happy to be able to share this exciting moment of debuting with the fans. We want to share all the fun and happy moments with you in the future too. We'll always be Lapillus who communicate with our fans!
