After weeks of speculations, Neil John Salvacion has finally cleared the air and revealed that he and Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo have indeed broken up.

On Instagram stories, Neil John confirmed that they are not together anymore.

"The real thing is, we're not together anymore, but we're both okay, moving forward, we talked and we're both happy with our own lives," part of his message read.

"We both believe that God placed us in this kind of situation for a reason, and that is for the better."

Neil John, however, lambasted people who started rumors about their relationship.

"Spreading rumors without even knowing the real story is just too much.

"We don't deserve all the negativities manifested towards us, esp towards Rab, she worked hard to achieve whatever she has right now, and she deserves it all.

"It's NEVER okay to degrade a person just to prove a point, I mean, if you have nothing good to say, it's better to keep it within yourself."

In an Instagram story, Neil John Fel confirmed that he and 2020 Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo have broken up.

On May 25, speculations about the split of Neil John and Rabiya made rounds online when he deleted their photos on Instagram.

After a few days, Rabiya seemingly put the rumors to rest as she commented in the photo of Neil John.

She wrote, "Payat siya eh."

Rabiya and Neil John had been together for six years.
