Korean singer Rain to take formal action against his rumor spreaders

Korean celebrity Rain has denied all rumors of infidelity against his wife, actress Kim Tae-hee.

On October 17, his agency Rain Company released a statement that reads as follows:

"Hello, this is RAIN COMPANY.

"As stated in the notice, we have completed the first complaint by requesting a police investigation into the YouTubers and creators who have spread false statements or rumors about our artist on portal sites' communities, cafes, and social media.

"We will not be stopping at this, and we are informing you that we will be continuously monitoring [the situation] and conducting 2nd and 3rd investigation requests for these YouTubers and creators who are using false statements, slander, and insulting comments through artist-related rumors.

"Thank you."

Rain's infidelity rumors first made rounds on the internet after a blind item about a top star who was cheating on his wife was published by Woman Sense magazine in South Korea.

According to the rumor, the top star is known as the star of all stars for being top-tier in singing, dancing, acting, and more. The rumor claimed that the top star--who is married to a woman known for her beauty and intelligence, was cheating on his wife with a pro-golfer. Many suspected the people involved might be Rain, his wife Kim Tae-hee, and pro-golfer Park Kyung. However, all parties have publicly denied the claims.

Kim Tae-hee's agency Story J reportedly told news outlet Chosun Ilbo, "The rumor is baseless, we don't have a position to state because it is a completely groundless story."

Meanwhile, Park Kyung posted an Instagram Story from October 6 that said, "How absurd. I saw them at a sponsorship event years ago, and that's it. I don't even know their number. Bad people. I don't look like her, but I was grateful for the comparison. I can't believe this is happening."
