Raymond Gutierrez defends Richard following Sarah Lahbati interview: 'My brother provides for his kids'
Raymond Gutierrez spoke up online about Sarah Lahbati's statement regarding the responsibilities of his twin brother, Richard Gutierrez.
It all started in an interview with Kylie Verzosa, where Sarah opened up about her experiences as a single mother.
The actress talked about the sacrifices and hardships she faces, yet continues to push through for her kids, Zion and Kai.
When asked if there were times she tried asking for help from her ex-husband Richard, Sarah firmly said no.
“I will be honest and say that I struggle asking for help. But in this specific scenario and question of yours — you asked if I wanted to ask for help? No, I don't feel the need to. I can do it, so I don't see why I should or ask… period,” Sarah answered.
She also shared that there was no agreement or discussion with Richard about helping out for the kids, and she said she was fine with that.
“I'm never gonna beg. I'm never gonna ask. It should be an automatic thing, actually. That's it. And if it's not, then why am I going to beg or ask if I can do it myself?” she added.
As Sarah's remarks trended online, Raymond decided to clarify things.
In a reshared clip of the interview, Raymond took to the comment section to defend his brother.
“My brother provides for his kids. Period. School, hobbies, travel, clothing, staff, and everything else they need,” he wrote.
Raymond also spoke about their co-parenting setup, saying, “The kids split their time equally between both parents. I can't sit here and watch this and not state facts. I wish this was clarified during this interview.”
His comment quickly sparked an uproar online, earning mixed reactions from netizens on social media.

It was back in March 2024 when Sarah confirmed her separation from her former partner, Richard Gutierrez.
