Rayver the guitarist is back!
Rayver Cruz recently bought a custom Gibson Les Paul guitar as an early birthday present for himself.
The Sparkle actor shared the news on his Instagram last week as he posed for a photo with his newest baby.
“Early birthday present to self,” he wrote in his caption.
And a few days after, Rayver took his cherished guitar for a test run as he shared a snippet of him playing a guitar riff.
“Black Beauty,” Rayver said in his post.
In a message he sent to GMANetwork.com, Rayver said he has been dreaming of owning the coveted guitar for the longest time.
“Matagal ko na siyang ina-eye din, simula nu'ng nahilig ako ulit ako sa instruments and sa paggi-gitara, pero kasi inuna ko muna 'yung guitar ni John Mayer, kasi idol ko siya," Rayver said.
As a further testament of how much this means to Rayver, the actor even named the guitar after his beloved mother.
"Special 'yung guitar na to kasi 'pinangalan ko 'to after my mom. Beth ang tawag ko sa kanya,” Rayver mused.
Aside from dance covers, Rayver also often shares his song and guitar covers to his fans and followers.
One of his latest covers is John Mayer's “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room,” to which Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose couldn't help but comment on with, “Husay. [S]wabe my love.”
