Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel's stint on 'Project Runway' Season 22 was cut short after the Filipino-American beauty queen and fashion designer became one of the first contestants eliminated in the competition.

Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel's journey on Project Runway came to an end after she was eliminated in the premiere episode of the fashion design competition.

The Filipino-American fashion designer and beauty queen was among the 22 designers who competed in the opening challenge, which required contestants to present a signature look they had prepared at home.

For her debut design, R'Bonney created a recycled denim ensemble. However, the judges ultimately decided that her garment fell short of the challenge, making her one of the first designers to leave the competition.

Following her elimination, she became emotional as she reflected on the experience.

She said, "I feel so disappointed in myself. I'm extremely embarrassed. I wish the outcome was different. I feel wholeheartedly that I didn't bring the right garment. This cannot define me as a designer. That doesn't mean I'm not talented. I just want my design work to be my ultimate shining star."

Despite the disappointing result, R'Bonney remains determined to grow as a designer and use the experience as motivation.

In a post shared on social media, she described her Project Runway stint as both "devastating" and "humbling."

R'Bonney has been passionate about sustainable fashion long before her pageant career. Although her Project Runway journey was cut short, she remains committed to honing her skills and expanding her fashion label.

She said in a separate post, "I'd be lying if I were to say I don't feel insecure after this experience. It definitely makes me question myself as a designer but I'm gonna take this as a learning lesson. I just want to dedicate more time to my craft and my fashion business, and I want to continue to improve on that."
