Kasalukuyang nasa Boracay ngayon ang mag-inang Bettinna Carlos at Gummy para i-celebrate ang 6th birthday ng huli. Sa gitna ng kanilang bakasyon, hindi napigilan ni Bettinna na maiyak sa mensahe na ibinigay sa ng kanyang unica hija.

Ayon kay Bettinna, ito ay nagsimula umano nang lumapit si Gummy sa kanya. “I was at the buffet table and she came up from behind. As usual I had to pretend I was gulat. But it wasn't her intention pala. She said,'Ooops, sorry Mum.' Then I said, 'Yes?' She stepped forward and whispered, 'Mum, thank you for my birthday. I love you.' And in two seconds my eyes were glassy and in three more a teardrop fell from my right eye.”
Agad umanong pinunasan ni Gummy ang luha ni Bettinna. Kasabay nito, sinambit ni Bettinna ang kanyang mensahe para sa kanyang anak.
“'Anak, there is nothing I will not do or give you. Everything that I will make you hapy, I will give you. Always remember how much Mummy loves you. I love you so much.' She just kissed me and said, 'Yes, Mummy. I love you, too.'"
Sa kabila ng pagtulo ng luha ay nakuha pang magbahagi ng kanyang realization bilang isang single mom si Bettinna.
“Iyak talaga ako! Grabe how a little soul can penetrate my heart. I love you, Love. I'm tearing up again as I type now. Thank you, God, for my child. Solo parenting has its ups and downs but no single mom will have it any other way. Swear.”
