Anthony Rosaldo celebrates birthday by giving relief goods

Kapuso singer Anthony Rosaldo celebrated his birthday in a unique way!

Instead of hosting a party for his friends and loved ones, Kapuso singer Anthony Rosaldo celebrated his 26th birthday by giving relief goods to the people affected by the Taal Volcano eruption.

Anthony explained his decision in a post on Instagram, saying that what he did was the best birthday gift he received.

"I guess, I've already indulged in a lot [of party] in the passed years. This time, I wanted it to be meaningful," he explains.

"That's why instead of hosting a birthday party, I went to Bauan, Batangas to share my blessings to our kababayans."

Anthony gave relief bags to evacuees who have been staying in Bauan Technical High School for almost three weeks. Their homes were destroyed by earthquakes and ash fall.

"As we age, we see things differently. I guess now, happiness for me means seeing others happy," he continued.

"Despite their tragic loss and the inconveniences they've all experienced, I've seen a great amount of hope and joy in their eyes.

"And that is priceless! You will understand what I mean if you do the same so I strongly encourage everyone to please help out."

Anthony also sang a song by Gary Valenciano, Gaya ng Dati.

This year, I've decided to celebrate my birthday differently.. Not that I don't enjoy parties with friends...But I guess, I've already indulged in a lot in the passed years. This time I wanted it to be meaningful.. so I thought; why not extend a helping hand to those in need? That's why instead of hosting a birthday party, I went to Bauan, Batangas to share my blessings to our Kababayans. These evacuees from Taal have been in Bauan Technical High School for almost 3 weeks and they are the ones who are said to be the most affected victims of Taal Eruption. Most of their homes have been terribly destroyed by the earthquakes and ash fall caused by the said disaster. I would like to thank Ate Malou Santiago Tibayan for introducing me to the local authorities of Bauan Batangas. To Counsilor Emer Ilagan of Matindig Bauan, Batangas and all the social workers for assisting me the whole time I was there for the gift giving. And lastly to my sponsor, Great Smile Family Dental for selflessly sharing your means to the less fortunate. God bless you all! As we age, we see things differently. I guess now, happiness for me means seeing others happy. Despite their tragic loss and the inconveniences they've all experienced, I've seen a great amount of hope and joy in their eyes. And that is priceless! You will understand what I mean if you do the same so I strongly encourage everyone to please help out! Or At at least in any way you can. I promise, small efforts go a long way! 100 families and their precious smiles...That is the best birthday gift ever! ❤️
