Meanwhile, the daughter-in-law of Senator Miriam, Mechel T. Santiago posted a heartwrenching tribute for her on Facebook.

Mechel said that she love her mother-in-law so much and she is glad that she is with the mighty Creator.

She posted, “Mahal na mahal ka namin, Ma. Hindi na po kayo mahihirapan ngayon. Kasama n'yo na po ang ating Panginoon. Maraming salamat sa inyong pagmamahal sa amin, sa inyong pamilya at sa ating bayan.”
