Dingdong Dantes expressed how Marian Rivera was so deserving of the best actress recognition, having seen her potential since their first project together.

Dingdong Dantes takes pride in Marian Rivera as his wife bagged the Best Actress award at the OFW Gawad Parangal of Kapisanan ng mga Kamag-anak at Migranteng Manggagawang Pilipino, Inc. (KAKAMMPI).

Dingdong expressed how Marian was so deserving of the recognition, having seen her potential since their first project together.

He recalled, “In 2007, I had the privilege of working with Marian in Marimar, and as her co-actor, I saw in her that extraordinary talent that most people in our industry - including myself - would want to achieve and unlock. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, 'this person is a natural.' I never thought the day would come when I could direct her in a sensitive drama that showcased her God-given gift.”

Dingdong was Marian's director when she rendered her portrayal for the Tadhana episode that won her the award. According to the Kapuso Primetime King, he felt enthused to witness his wife's exemplary performance up close and behind the camera.

He said, “The great Maryo J once said that a director will always be the first to see what he / she wants the audience to experience. True enough, during that episode, I knew that this day would come. On and off screen, in my lens as a husband, she will always be my best actress.”

“Magaling din kasi magdrama sa bahay. So proud of you, Baby. Congratulations on this much deserved, long overdue award,” he added.

Sabi ko sa sarili ko, “this person is a natural.” I never thought the day would come when i could direct her in a sensitive drama that showcased her God-given gift. So here she is now, more than a decade after, with an official recognition by the OFW Gawad Parangal ng KAKAMMPI for her exemplary performance in Tadhana. I am just so happy to have witnessed first hand this milestone behind the camera. On and off screen, in my lens as a husband, she will always be my best actress. Magaling din kasi magdrama sa bahay 😂. So proud of you Baby. Congratulations on this much deserved, long overdue award!
