The world of Encantadia is mourning the loss of veteran actor Chinggoy Alonso, who first played the iconic role of Evades.
Veteran actor Chinggoy Alonso dies after battling with colon cancer
According to news reports, Chinggoy died last October 15 at the Chinese General Hospital in Manila after losing his battle to colon cancer.
Empress Schuck, who has worked with Chinggoy in Etheria, posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.
“He's definitely one of the nicest veteran actors in the industry. I've worked with him so long in Etheria and he showed nothing but kindness to me. That's why I'm always excited whenever I see him around kahit hindi ako sure kung naaalala ba niya 'ko since I was so young back then. You're absolutely one of my favorites, Tito Chinggoy. May you rest in peace,” wrote Empress.
Meanwhile, Encantadia director Mark Reyes also expressed his sadness over the death of the first actor who portrayed the role of Evades. Check out his Facebook post.
