Empress Schuck and Chinggoy Alonso worked together in the Kapuso telefantasya 'Etheria.'

The world of Encantadia is mourning the loss of veteran actor Chinggoy Alonso, who first played the iconic role of Evades.

Veteran actor Chinggoy Alonso dies after battling with colon cancer

According to news reports, Chinggoy died last October 15 at the Chinese General Hospital in Manila after losing his battle to colon cancer.

Empress Schuck, who has worked with Chinggoy in Etheria, posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

 

He's definitely one of the nicest veteran actors in the industry. Ive worked with him so long in etheria and he showed nothing but kindness to me. Thats why im always excited whenever i see him around kahit hindi ako sure kung naaalala ba niya ko since i was so young back then. Youre absolutely one of my favorites Tito Chinggoy. May you rest in peace... ????
