Glaiza De Castro's tweet unwittingly sparks an online discussion about overtime pay and unfair labor practices. On Twitter, she clarifies that it is a general observation and is not based on personal experience.

Contessa lead star Glaiza De Castro clarified that her tweet questioning the unfair labor practice in the country is a general statement.

The tweet, which she posted last July 12, was deleted shortly after it inadvertently sparked an online discussion that touched on unfair labor practices.

Surprised by the response from netizens, the 30-year old actress took to Twitter again to reveal the reason behind her controversial tweet.

In the same post, she clarified that her tweet was a "simpleng tanong o obserbasyon" and should not be taken as a swipe at anyone.

She wrote, "In relation to my recent tweet, bilang ang daming nagtatanong kung para saan ba talaga o para kanino o kung kaninong experience, I would like to clarify that it's a general statement. Nakaka-overwhelm ang dami ng response dahil nangyayari ito sa maraming tao, [especially] proletariats.

"'Wag sana ma-misinterpret dahil lang sa isang simpleng tanong o obserbasyon na walang intensyong makasira o makasakit ng iba."

Some netizens expressed their agreement. A few others pointed out that Glaiza was right to speak about common labor problems in the country.
