Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla shared her birthday message for her son Baby Alas who celebrates his first birthday today, August 4.

My love and my sweetheart, my heart and my soul. It has only been 1 year but it feels like a lifetime. It feels like everything that has happened in the past, happened in preparation for your arrival into our lives. You have carried so many blessings along with you. You bring light into all of our hearts. I am so grateful to be able to be your mom. You are so wonderful. An incredible little human being. If I had one message for you it would be for you to follow your curiosity and never let fear stop you from exploring this world. To explore is to discover and to discover requires new levels of understanding and learning, may you my love have all of those. Di mo man mababasa ito, ok lng. I will do my best to help you, guide you teach you as you in return teach me and your dad. Thank you for giving me hope and thank you for healing all my scars. Kylie also posted a heartwarming message for her partner, Aljur Abrenica.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of our parenting journey together and what a journey our first year has been. It's definitely not been easy but I wouldn't have it any other way. Let's get right to the chase, I'm hard headed, impulsive and over protective. Sometimes selfish and impatient but thank you from the bottom of my heart and all dark corners of my soul for cherishing every inch of what makes me, me. If I were a rose, your hands would be bleeding but thank you for being the better man and always choosing to take care of your son and I. I admire your strength and patience and wisdom so so much. More than I could ever express. Thank you for letting me bloom and not picking my petals. Thank you, just thank you for being the human being that you are and putting us first.
