Lucy Torres-Gomez is truly one amazing woman as she shared on Instagram how she brought her family together for the holidays.

The holidays —- the entire stretch of it from a few days before Christmas all the way to New Year’s Day —-was crazy-busy (as usual), but it was also wonderful. And precious. I am especially thankful and grateful for pockets of languid time spent with family (all of us complete!), all the meals and stories shared, new memories made and added to the many happy, older ones. We did not do anything fancy or unusual, but it makes me all warm in my heart of hearts thinking about how we were constantly together the past 10 days or so, there with and for each other. Every day.♥? Time is a gift. And we had that. There was time to play with the little ones, time to catch up, and plan, and dream, time to cook impromptu meals and sneak into the kitchen at midnight for a heavy snack, time to read, and write, and linger. There was time to eat too much (and too often!) and not feel guilty (it’s Christmas after all!????). There was quiet time, too, to listen to the pitter-patter of rain while snuggling under soft sheets in a tangle of limbs and laughs and stories. Yes, there was time for afternoon naps, and coloring books, and old movies to watch. There was time to listen to music while wrapping gifts, to pause and sit still and just soak it all in, the many imperfect but beautiful layers of life as it finds me now. There was time to remember people and places and things, and to gather the sum of it all like bouquet held close to the heart.♥? Christmas has this way of making me more mushy than I already am, I know. Thank you for all that you were, 2017.???????? 2018, I know you will be beautiful.♥?
