As they say, there is no “I” in “team” and the same can be true for reigning Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Michelle gave a behind-the-scenes look at her Miss World journey.

She also gladly thanked the people who became her support system at the recently concluded Miss World competition --namely, her family, her management, and the team behind her looks for the pageant.

She wrote, “This post goes out to the people that were closest to me throughout the whole season. People have only seen the finished product, but preparation is THE secret to success.

“First and foremost, to my family and friends that flew in from every corner of the world just to support me, love me, and made sure I felt whole --thank you and I love you all so much! All the sacrifices, efforts, and hard work were so evident and I'm so blessed to have all of you in my life.”

The grateful Michelle also gave a shout out to the Miss World Philippines Organization, her stylist, and the names behind the Francis Libiran label for creating the stunning pieces for the whole show.

She ended the heartfelt post by eventually confessing that she truly wouldn't have landed far if it weren't for the people supporting her.

“Words aren't enough to show how grateful I am.

“There is no 'I' in 'TEAM' and I wouldn't have gone as far as I did without all of you. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. #LABANPILIPINAS,” she concluded.

Michelle Dee: Beauty with a Purpose

Michelle Dee represented the country at the ExCel Stadium in London, England last December 14 where she landed in the Top 12.

Three days after the competition, she said that the Miss World pageant has made her a “better, stronger, and wiser person overall.”
