Sharon Cuneta: “Showbiz has really changed a lot.”
Tila planado na ang lahat tungkol sa semi-retirement ni Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Matatandaan na kamakailan ay ipinaalam ni Sharon sa kanyang fans at Instagram followers ang plano niyang magpahinga na sa showbiz matapos ang mahigit apat na dekada sa industriya.

Personal niya itong kinumpirma sa nakaraang press conference ng Iconic concert.
Paglilinaw ni Sharon, “When I say semi-retirement, it's once in a while kakanta pa rin, may movie pa rin.
“Pero hindi na 'yung working katulad dati na halos walang patid na concerts-movies-concerts-movies.
“Not as much [as active na]. I will pick the movies that I will do and the concerts that I will do.”
Katulad ng kanyang naunang Instagram post, muling binanggit ni Sharon ang “pagod” na nararamdaman niya.
Aniya, “At this point in my life, I'm not only physically tired, I'm also emotionally, mentally… becoming very drained. Showbiz has really changed a lot.
“Like I've said in my teens, I will not allow showbiz to eat my person. I will not allow it to change my soul.
“And there are so many things that are so different now.
“So, things that matter to me, friendship, loyalty… so many things have changed, the landscape has changed.
“I enjoy when we were younger, I enjoy those times.
“And it's been a very, very good business to me, and my fans have been so loving and supportive non-stop, so I owe them the rest and the best of me.”
Hindi naman daw ibig sabihin nito na tuluyan na niyang isasara ang kanyang pinto sa showbiz.
Ayon sa 53-year-old singer actress, “You know, once you're in showbiz and you feel that the people still love you and still appreciate your music and your acting, then, you always have a reason to come back--and because you love your craft.”
Sa hiwalay na panayam ng GMANetwork.com at ilan pang entertainment reporters, binanggit ni Sharon ang plano para sa kanyang showbiz career sa susunod na dalawang taon.
Aniya, “Next year is already planned out, it's already fully booked. Busy kasi nga mag-i-slow down na.
“I'll be 54 next year. On my 55th birthday, after my 55th birthday, that's my active na pa-slow down na.
“Hopefully, by the end of that year, rest muna.
“I can do a movie one in two years or once a year kung maganda or concert every once in a while.”
Sharon Cuneta: "I haven't been this peaceful in so many years."
