Regine claims that they don't believe in the reward system.
The five-year-old son of Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Nate Alcasid, is one of the most in-demand child endorsers at the moment.
Recently, Nate bagged another endorsement deal from one of the leading broadband and digital service providers in the country.
In an interview with GMA News Online, the Kapuso diva revealed that Nate is unaware that he has a talent fee from every endorsement he gets.
Regine explained, “Ayokong pumasok sa ulo niya na lahat ay puwede niyang bilhin just because he has the money. Later on, when he's a little bit bigger and he understands already what it means, then I can tell him... ayoko munang isipin niya. Pero nakaipon lahat 'yan.”
Moreover, Regine stressed that she doesn’t believe in the “reward system” in raising her boy.
“Hindi kami naniniwala na if you do good, bibigyan kita ng ganito. Mamimihasang may kapalit. Ang sinasabi namin, 'You have to be a good boy because I say so and it's the right thing to do.'"
In addition, the Kapuso mom also talked about how Nate behaves during his endorsement shoots and that he listens carefully to the instructions given to him.
“He's nice to work with. Nag-e-enjoy lang siya. Kapag sinabi mo sa kaniya na, 'You have to behave,' he'll listen to you. Minsan, alam kong pagod na siya kasi paulit-ulit, pero tuloy pa rin siya. He listens to instructions.”
